By joining the RunBuds Affiliate Program, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to participate. RunBuds reserves the right to approve or reject any application at its sole discretion.
2. Affiliate Commissions
2.1 Commission Eligibility
Affiliates earn commission on qualifying purchases made using their unique assigned referral code.
A qualifying purchase must meet all of the following conditions:
- The order is completed, valid, and not cancelled, refunded, or fraudulent
- The customer uses the affiliate’s unique referral code at checkout
- The referral code is entered at the time of purchase and successfully applied
Referral links, cookies, or tracking alone do not guarantee commission eligibility.
RunBuds does not award commission for sales that are indirectly attributed through tracking systems where no clear referral action (i.e. code usage) has occurred.
2.2 Commission Structure
RunBuds operates a variable commission model based on traffic source, promotional method, and order type.
Commission rates may differ depending on:
- Whether a discount code or promotion is used
- The type of affiliate (e.g. content partner, influencer, coupon/deal site)
- Whether the customer is new or returning
- The level of incremental value driven
RunBuds reserves the right to assign custom commission rates per affiliate.
2.3 Discount & Coupon Adjustments
Orders placed using discount codes, coupons, or promotional offers may be subject to reduced commission rates or ineligibility.
This applies in particular to:
- Coupon and deal websites
- Cashback and browser extension platforms
- Orders where the primary driver of purchase is a discount rather than the affiliate’s content or referral
2.4 RunBuds Promotions & Code Priority
Orders using RunBuds-owned promotions (including but not limited to sitewide discounts, automatic promotions, or campaigns such as “Buy One Get One”) may:
- Be ineligible for commission, or
- Receive adjusted commission rates, at RunBuds’ discretion
Where multiple codes or promotions are available:
- The code applied at checkout determines attribution
- Commission may be declined if the affiliate’s code is not used
2.5 Attribution & Incrementality
RunBuds rewards affiliates based on genuine referral influence.
RunBuds reserves the right to:
- Decline or adjust commission where the affiliate did not materially influence the purchase
- Reject commissions generated through non-incremental traffic, including:
- Customers already intending to purchase who search for discount codes
- Coupon aggregation or automated deal scraping
- Traffic that intercepts users at checkout without prior engagement
2.6 Order Exchanges, Refunds, and Cancellations
- Cancelled or refunded orders → commission reversed
- Exchanges involving refunds → commission voided
- Exchanges without refund (equal or higher value) → commission retained
RunBuds may withhold or reverse commissions for fraudulent or suspicious activity.
2.7 Payouts
- Commission payouts are made according to the schedule in the affiliate dashboard
- A minimum payout threshold may apply
- RunBuds reserves the right to delay payouts for validation or fraud checks
3. Promotional Guidelines
Affiliates must:
- Represent RunBuds truthfully and accurately
- Avoid misleading claims or false promotions
- Not engage in spam or deceptive practices
- Not bid on branded keywords (e.g. “RunBuds”, “RunBuds discount”) in paid ads without prior approval
4. Intellectual Property
Affiliates may use approved RunBuds logos, banners, and product images.
These must not be modified and may only be used for affiliate promotion.
All intellectual property remains the property of RunBuds.
5. Program Integrity
The following are strictly prohibited:
- Unauthorized distribution of coupon codes
- Misrepresentation of offers or discounts
- Use of expired, misleading, or fabricated promotions
- Cookie stuffing, forced redirects, or artificial attribution methods
Violation may result in commission reversal, suspension, or termination.
6. Termination
RunBuds may terminate participation in the program at any time for violation of these Terms or for behaviour deemed harmful to the brand.
Affiliates may terminate participation at any time by providing written notice.
7. Amendments
RunBuds reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Continued participation in the program constitutes acceptance of any revised terms.
